Frequently asked questions

Before you send
the drawings.

Clear answers about scope, geography and how the consultancy works.

01

Which assessment do I need?

You do not need to know before enquiring. Send the project type, stage and drawings, then select ‘Not sure — please advise’. We will identify the likely scope before quoting.

02

Can you work with my architect or designer?

Yes. The service is intended to work alongside your existing designer. They retain the design role and client relationship; we provide specialist assessment and coordination input.

03

Do you work outside Lincolnshire?

Yes. The consultancy is based in Lincolnshire and calculation-led services are available throughout England, subject to the applicable regulatory regime and suitable digital project information.

04

Can the assessment be completed from drawings?

Many services can normally be undertaken remotely from suitable digital drawings, specifications and supporting evidence. Some stages or certification tasks may require additional evidence or project-specific arrangements.

05

Do you provide existing-home EPC surveys?

The launch service is focused on SAP-based assessment and new-dwelling EPCs, not a volume existing-dwelling EPC survey service.

06

Do you provide SBEM assessments?

No. SBEM and non-domestic energy assessment are outside the launch scope.

07

How quickly will I receive the assessment?

The programme depends on scope, information quality and current workload. We will review the project and discuss timing before work is commissioned; the website does not promise an arbitrary turnaround.

08

Does an assessment guarantee Building Regulations approval?

No. Assessments provide evidence and design information for the applicable requirements, but approval remains with the relevant Building Control body and depends on the project as a whole.
