The calculation should do more than report a number: it should reflect the proposed layers, materials, thicknesses, repeating thermal bridges and boundary conditions, then help the project team refine a buildable specification. Information to send
Send a section or description of each construction build-up, including layer thicknesses, insulation product data, framing or repeating bridge information and the adjoining conditions. Floor calculations may also require the geometry and perimeter information appropriate to the construction.
Scope, fees and timing
A generic manufacturer value may not represent your actual detail. Confirm that product substitutions, framing proportions and insulation arrangements match the calculated build-up. An individual U-value calculation is separate from a whole-dwelling SAP model or an area-weighted extension assessment.
