Overview
Domestic ventilation should be designed as a system. We review system selection, extract provision, whole-dwelling ventilation, background ventilation and the information that needs to be coordinated on drawings. Requirements depend on the work, dwelling and applicable guidance.

What is included
Ventilation design information for the agreed scope, covering the proposed system and relevant whole-dwelling, extract and background ventilation requirements. We identify the information that needs to be coordinated with the drawings, energy assessment and installation specification.
Information to send
Send floor plans, room uses, floor areas, the intended occupancy information and proposed ventilation system. Include airtightness assumptions and available product data. For work to an existing dwelling, describe the existing provision and what the project changes.
Scope, fees and timing
Calculation and design support are distinct from on-site airflow testing, installation and commissioning. Your quotation will identify the design outputs and any separate specialist work required. Coordinate Part F with the SAP model and any Part O assessment before equipment and openings are fixed.
